The report found that organizations are seeking unified platforms that integrate observability, automation, and financial management into a single operating framework. Performance and cost management are also high priorities for enterprises seeking hybrid cloud environments.

The report found that the increase in AI workloads and GPU-intensive infrastructure is driving demand for cost transparency and optimization in private cloud, Kubernetes, edge, and sovereign cloud environments.

The report said sovereignty is a major factor in cloud service diversification, as enterprises seek more control over infrastructure, data residency, and AI governance for their long-term AI plans.

"The most effective hybrid platforms no longer treat operations, network recovery, and cost management as separate disciplines," said Shashank Rajmane, ISG lead analyst and principal author of the report, in a press release. "Enterprises increasingly expect vendors to unify these capabilities to improve business continuity and long-term performance."
